It all started when…

Joyce Walker, highly acclaimed basketball player, coach and life-coach committed to serving the youth of our community.

A native to Seattle, Joyce still holds many state and national records today.  She led the 1980 Garfield girls basketball team to the State Championship as a player, and then again in 2005 as their coach. Joyce was a 3-time All American when she played for Louisiana State University in the early 1980’s and is still the All-Time leading scorer. She was also one of the first female Harlem Globetrotters, and was the lead scorer on the 1983 World University Games team, helping to win the gold medal for the USA team.
